I was both challenged and encouraged by this! Reflecting on why I don’t tend to read the greats it’s because I’m intimidated. This could be the year to change that. I’m also feeling drawn to Paradise Lost with Karen! Thank you for sharing this ✨

I'm so glad to hear it, Kristin! Thanks so much for your kind words. Do you have any particular works or writers in mind? Paradise Lost is going to be excellent. It was high up on my reading for this year anyhow, but this has bumped it up to third place—the first and second are already in progress.

Confessions by Augustine has been on my list for so long. 2025 is the year! What made the first and second spot on your to-read list? So many books, so little time!

Good choice! My first and second are both carry overs from last year. One is the latest Brandon Sanderson novel, which I'll probably be reading until early February given the size of it. Second is a 'biography' of C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity, looking at the story behind the book, how it came about, and the reception it has received through its life. Very interesting, far deeper and wiser than I had initially assumed it would be.
